Imagine screening a box of old 8mm movies. After many hours of viewing the saturated images, it dawns on you that you're watching the home movies of three separate families... none from the same time or place. Interestingly, they all have a child named TRAVIS.

Life is interesting.

Think of TRAVIS as a car accident involving a Cadillac, a Subaru and a Land Rover. After the medics, cops and TV crews have left, you sift through the wreckage, finding a micro-cassette recorder and a shoebox full of polaroids.

Curiously, TRAVIS was driving all three cars.

Some of you may feel you've seen TRAVIS before, or that he reminds you of an ex-friend. This would please the authors, who hope there is a little bit of TRAVIS in all of you.

TRAVIS has left the building.

From the home page TRAVIS moves into three psychographic eventscapes.

Sweet Home, Oregon

South Alligator, Australia

West Egg, Long Island

Each eventscape has seventeen chapters. You move forward one chapter by clicking on the last word, you move backward one by clicking on the first.

You can change to a corresponding chapter in another TRAVIS by clicking on the appropriate eventscape at the bottom of each screen. The linked text within each chapter will take you to some of TRAVIS' relatives.

Clicking on TRAVIS will always take to you home, except
when you are home... then it will bring you here.

TRAVIS is dedicated to our beloved parents Paul Schrader and David Thomson, who gave us the points from which to fall backward.
